She lounged regally on a small, worn cushion, a delicacy gained from what the nofurs discarded food and other useful items in. The torn, faded red thing smelled of a kittypet, which irritated Cinq, but she supposed that with time the unseemly scent would fade and be replaced with her own. The object had been a gift, among others from her little 'clan', whom she personally thought were little more than sniveling mouse-brained brutes who knew barely knew anything than how to fight. At least it was something they excelled at, or she would have abandoned this pathetic excuse for a clan moons ago, to fight over their petty squabbles while she sought a more self-beneficial life. She closed her eyes, in a halfhearted attempt to gain rest before the next issue came up. He said, trembling before the infamous leader.
"M-m'lady Cinq! It seemed that there would be no such luck. Her steely grey eyes opened, and her gaze bored into the newcomer, a lanky brown tabby. She gave the tom a few seconds to squirm under the intensity of it, before responding.
"What is it?" She asked dully, her voice cold and distant.
"W-well, it seems that they have returned, m'lady."
"What!?" She hissed, the rising anger in her voice scaring the tabby, who took a few nervous steps. "They have not been in this area for countless moons!" She growled, standing up, her long blue-grey limbs elevating her to a height just above the painfully thin cat in front of her. She could smell the fear on him, and inwardly she scoffed. She wasn't so bloodthirsty that she would kill him for bringing her such news.
"But, m-m'lady, Scratch saw it himself, he did, 'n I was there, right beside him. There were so many, m'lady." He whimpered, taking another cautious step backwards. Cinq's wrath had already subsided, however, and now the she-cat was immersed in thought, her mind, and to a lesser extent, her heart, racing as she murmured her musings to herself, the tom forgotten as he stood there, nervously shifting from side to side.
"You." She suddenly said, her head snapping up. He went rigid, looking at her fearfully. "Leave me be. Now." She hissed, and with two shaky, nervous nods, he backed off, turning and bolting out of the dingy alley. [/blockquote]
